Last night I sat on the street car after an incredible but challenging day, I reflected on many things (my phone was dead so I couldn’t just scroll through Instagram). With nothing else to do but look at past journal entries, reflect on my own thoughts + read my bible there were a few things that came up for me:

1.) If you are resisting something it’s probably the one thing you need to run to, instead of run away from.

2.) The gifts and calling that God has on your life is irrevocable- so you need to stop holding on to your history at the expense of your destiny.

3.) God is a redeemer!! he can promote you faster than you can promote yourself.

4.) Our testimonies are always for other people not just ourselves, why? So God gets all the glory.

5.) Hard words are a sign of Gods love because through hard messages you grow. You need to be uncomfortable to change.

6.) We can not prevent the attacks of the enemy, but we can stand firm in our faith.

It is Humbling to have such realizations of my weaknesses, of my flaws, of the work God is doing in my life. I am flawed, but I live under the grace of God.

Lately I have been resisting the very things I need to cling on to, resisting the things that will propel me into the destiny God has for me, because I am afraid of being launched into something big and I don’t feel qualified, but ultimately God is my qualifier and I don’t need to rely on my own strength. #thebestisyettocome

We need to move in to new seasons and bear fruit. He says that “I am the vine and you are the branches”. God needs to prune us and stop things before new things can start. If you allow the branches that aren’t bearing fruit to stay around then eventually the ones that are bearing fruit will suffocate.

If you aren’t pruned in life you can’t produce in life.

“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.” John 15:2

What habits do you need to stop in your life to start producing in your life?
